- New Continental Contact Urban tyres
- New Continental inner tubes
- New original Brompton rim tapes

- Wheel inspection and precision lateral truing where required
Where the condition of the rim permits, lateral wheel movement is measured with a dial indicator and trued to within approximately ±0.05 mm from the centre.

Free Two-Way Bicycle Transport
No time to bring your Brompton to the workshop? Is the bicycle currently unsafe or impossible to ride?
For full-service bookings confirmed by 31 July 2026, 808 Cycles includes complimentary two-way bicycle transport. We collect the bicycle from you and deliver it back after servicing, subject to scheduling and service-area availability.
This is particularly convenient for Bromptons with flat tyres, deteriorated components, visible rust or bicycles that have not been unfolded for several years.
How Often Should a Brompton Be Serviced?
At 808 Cycles, we recommend a full service approximately every two years or 10,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.
The two-year recommendation applies even if the bicycle has only been ridden occasionally. Tyres, inner tubes and rim tapes continue to age while the bicycle is stored. Rubber can harden, dry out or crack, while Singapore’s humidity can encourage corrosion on exposed steel components.

A Note About Unauthorised Brake and Gear Modifications
Brompton brake and gear components are designed to work as complete systems. Non-original modifications can affect compatibility, cable routing, folding operation and the availability of replacement parts.
If an aftermarket brake or gear component has been installed, it may not be possible to replace that individual part directly with an original Brompton component. The relevant system may first need to be restored to its original Brompton specification.
