  • Order and transaction details: products purchased, order value, delivery or collection preference, payment status, refunds or exchanges, and communications about an order. Payment card or wallet details are generally processed directly by our payment providers and are not stored in full by us.
  • Customer-service information: messages, enquiries, product waitlist requests, reviews, comments and any information you choose to provide by email, WhatsApp, telephone, forms or in person.
  • Technical and usage information: IP address, device and browser information, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location, shopping-cart activity and interactions with our website or advertising.
  • Account information: login and profile details, saved addresses, order history and account preferences.

3. How we collect personal data

We collect data directly from you when you place an order, register an account, contact us, submit a review or comment, join a waitlist, or visit our store. We also collect technical data automatically through cookies and similar technologies. We may receive limited information from service providers involved in payments, delivery, analytics, advertising, fraud prevention and website operation.

4. How we use personal data

We use personal data where reasonably necessary to:

  • process, confirm, fulfil, deliver and administer orders, exchanges and store collections;
  • take and verify payments, prevent fraud and maintain transaction records;
  • create and manage customer accounts and product waitlists;
  • answer enquiries and provide customer support;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our website and services;
  • measure website performance and understand how customers use our services;
  • show or measure relevant advertising and product listings through Google and Meta services, subject to applicable consent and settings;
  • send service messages and, where permitted, marketing communications; and
  • comply with legal, accounting, regulatory and dispute-resolution requirements.

Where consent is required, you may withdraw it by contacting us or using the unsubscribe or preference controls provided. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses essential cookies for functions such as the shopping basket, checkout, account login, security and remembering preferences. With consent where required, analytics and advertising technologies may also be used to measure visits, improve the website and understand campaign performance. These may be provided by WordPress, WooCommerce, Jetpack, Google and Meta.

You can manage cookies through your browser and any cookie controls displayed on our website. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the shop, account or checkout from working correctly.

6. Payments

Online payments may be processed by payment providers available at checkout, including HitPay and ShopBack PayLater. These providers receive the information required to authenticate and process your payment and apply their own privacy notices. We receive transaction confirmations and limited payment information needed to administer your order, but we do not generally receive or store your complete card number.

7. Analytics, advertising and third-party services

We use service providers to operate and improve the store. These may include WooCommerce and Automattic/Jetpack for ecommerce and website services; Google services for analytics, site performance, product listings and advertising; Meta services for product marketing and advertising; payment providers; hosting, caching and security providers; and delivery or logistics providers selected for an order.

When you interact with embedded content, social features, maps, videos or links to third-party websites, those third parties may collect data under their own policies. We encourage you to review their privacy information.

8. When we disclose personal data

We may disclose personal data only as reasonably necessary to:

  • payment processors, banks and fraud-prevention providers;
  • delivery, courier, collection and fulfilment providers;
  • website hosting, ecommerce, analytics, advertising, communications, support and security providers;
  • professional advisers, insurers, auditors and authorities where required or permitted by law; and
  • a buyer, investor or successor in connection with a proposed or completed business transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal data for money.

9. Overseas transfers

Some service providers may process data outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to the requirements of Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), including through contractual or other safeguards where appropriate.

10. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to fulfil orders, support customers, maintain business and accounting records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. When data is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your rights and choices

Subject to the PDPA and applicable exceptions, you may ask to access or correct personal data we hold about you, withdraw consent, or ask questions about our handling of your data. We may need to verify your identity and may charge a reasonable fee where permitted for an access request. You may also update certain account information directly through your account.

To make a request, contact sales@808cycles.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and explain if a request cannot be fulfilled under applicable law.

13. Children’s data

Our online store is not directed to children, and children should not submit personal data or place orders without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
